MEDICAL MISSION OPPORTUNITY

Surrounding our new Village of Hope in the Philippines is an area of extreme poverty. 15,000 people are destitute and in need of assistance due to:

  • Poverty

  • Sex Trafficking

  • Medical Needs

Poverty has long been recognized as a contributor to death and disease. Poor health contributes to reduced income, creating a negative feedback loop referred to as the health-poverty trap. Several recent trends have shown an increased focus on the link between good health and the future of children living in squalor conditions.

Compassionate Hope is making a difference. You can help.

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” Isaiah 1:17 ESV

HOW YOU CAN BE A PART

In March 2020, a team lead by Dr. Randy Sanovich of Dallas Surgical Arts, Steward Health Care physicians and clinic staff plus numerous volunteers are planning to provide basis medical and dental needs to the children of the CHF Philippines Village of Hope and the surrounding community.

The local mayor welcomes and approves our plans. We anticipate seeing between 2,000-3,000 patients during our 4-day clinic using the Village of Hope facilities.

  • Dates: March 13-21, 2020(Includes travel time) TBD

Please consider volunteering for this medical and dental mission trip either with your time, prayers and/or financial giving. We are excited about the opportunity to serve the beautiful children and people of the Philippines.

TRIP POSTPONED

Due to the spread of the coronavirus, a decision involving all parties has been carefully and prayerfully made to postpone this trip until later in 2020. We want to protect both the health of the Village of Hope, the region of the Philippines we serve, and the health of the team.

SUCCESSFULLY MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Compassionate Hope has 43 Homes of Hope throughout Southeast Asia.

Each location provides a safe and loving home that meets the physical, spiritual, emotional, educational, and vocational needs of victims of (or those at risk of) human trafficking.

Among these are children and young adults in the Philippines who were rescued in partnership with the International Justice Mission and Compassion International.

“Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the Lord; “I will place him in the safety for which he longs.” Psalm 12:5 ESV
