Ethan & Christy Carbonaro
Southeast Asia
Ethan and Christy are captivated by the people, culture, and God’s heart for the nation of Thailand.
Ethan and Christy first crossed paths in Australia while participating in a YWAM missions program. It was during this time that Christy visited Thailand for the first time and became captivated by the people, culture, and God’s heart for the nation. Meanwhile, Ethan’s travels took him to Indonesia, where he developed a deep passion for Southeast Asia. Both of them dreamed of returning to this region to serve its people.
Ethan and Christy split ways after their time in Australia, but stayed connected as friends until 2020 when they embarked on a “50-States-In-50-Days” mission trip. Through this adventure, their heart for missions (and each other) grew. They were married two years later.
After spending a year teaching at Lighthouse Christian School in Nashville, Ethan connected with the Compassionate Hope team. Through conversations and hearing inspiring stories about the ministry, Ethan and Christy felt a strong calling to return to Asia.
With a profound love for children, Ethan and Christy are dedicated to seeing them free, loved, and enjoying the fun of childhood. They are excited to bring joy and the love of Jesus to the kids in the Homes of Hope near Chiang Rai.
